Marriott Hotel

The building consists of two interconnected volumes in a manner that is both light and dynamic. The first volume, which is two stories high, houses the entrance lobby and the conference center. Supporting it is an eight-story, recessed hotel section. The design of the building is inspired by aero design and paper origami models, which impart a sense of lightness, simplicity, and elegance. The hotel’s upper section is enveloped in a multilayered protective membrane, composed of perforated metal and a double curtain wall, separated by a ventilated space. This creates a protective shield, provides acoustic insulation, and enables natural ventilation through the convective movement of air between the layers, preventing excessive heating and cooling of the building. This design significantly reduces the energy demand for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
